Requiem for Camp Ellis

Requiem for Camp Ellis is a knitwear collection inspired by the coastal erosion that continues to affect my Maine hometown. Through the reflection of memories from my childhood, I have preserved the aspects of my hometown that I want to be remembered when it is no longer habitable. The collection is predominately knitwear, with supportive woven pieces. I utilized Stoll knit programming and industrial machines, hand flat manual machines, and hand knitting to develop the knit pieces.

Description left to right:

  1. Cotton denim jeans and work shirt. Merino wool Fisherman Sweater knit seamlessly by hand, using size US 50 needles.

  2. Both pieces full-fashioned programmed on Stoll M1 Plus. Dress knit on ADF 32 7.2gg machine, cardigan knit on CMS 520 C+ 1.5.2gg machine.
